The AI-Empowered Leading SAFe course equips leaders with the foundational knowledge to lead a Lean-Agile enterprise using the Scaled Agile Framework. Over two days, you will learn to align complex organisations around clear strategic objectives, organise teams around the flow of value, and apply responsible AI prompting techniques to strengthen your leadership practice.

The course covers the full breadth of the SAFe framework, from Lean-Agile mindset and PI Planning through to Lean Portfolio Management and leading organisational change. Participants develop the skills to connect strategy with execution and create the conditions for sustained business agility.

Delivered by SAFe Fellows who are also SPCTs and Certified AI-Native Trainers.

Leading SAFe is a two-day course built on the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), designed for leaders and managers responsible for driving Lean-Agile transformation across their organisation. It covers Lean-Agile mindset, PI Planning, Agile Product Delivery, Lean Portfolio Management, and leading organisational change.

Participants who attend both days and pass the certification exam earn the SAFe Agilist (SA) credential. Leading SAFe is the recommended starting point for the SAFe certification pathway and is open to all experience levels.

The SAFe Agilist (SA) is the certification earned by completing the Leading SAFe course and passing the associated exam. It is one of the most widely held SAFe credentials globally, recognised by employers across government, financial services, and enterprise technology in Australia and internationally.

SA demonstrates a foundational understanding of the Scaled Agile Framework and the ability to lead Lean-Agile transformation at scale. The certification is issued digitally by Scaled Agile, valid for one year, and renewable annually.

AI-Empowered Leading SAFe Inclusions

No prerequisites are required for Leading SAFe. The course is open to all experience levels.

If you're planning to progress to Implementing SAFe or SAFe Release Train Engineer, Leading SAFe is the recommended first step.

Pretty Agile delivers Leading SAFe as a two-day live online course. Sessions run 9 AM to 6 PM AEST/AEDT. Corporate and private delivery is available on request — contact us to discuss options for your team.

Participants who attend both days and pass the exam earn the SAFe Agilist (SA) credential, issued digitally by Scaled Agile. The certification is valid for one year and is renewable annually.

Two exam attempts are included with your course registration. You have 60 days from attendance confirmation to sit the exam online via SAFe Studio at a time of your choosing.

Your results include a coaching report. An unlimited practice test with question-level feedback is also available via SAFe Studio to help you prepare.

Your course registration includes unlimited practice tests via SAFe Studio with question-level feedback and a coaching report. The exam is open-book and web-based; most participants sit it within a few weeks of attending.

Leading SAFe is the foundation for the SAFe certification pathway. Common next steps include:

Build on the AI practices introduced in the Leading SAFe course with Pretty Agile's AI-Native training, developed by Scaled Agile to support responsible AI adoption.

  • AI-Native Foundations — build AI fluency and confidence. Learn to use AI tools responsibly, navigate change, and apply practical frameworks that support your role. Prerequisite for AI-Native Change Agent.
  • AI-Native Change Agent — for team leads, product roles, and change agents driving AI initiatives. Learn to lead cross-functional work and translate AI potential into practical results.

AI-Native classes are currently offered in person in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and Auckland, with other locations available on request.

 

 

Leading SAFe is a two-day course focused on understanding and applying the Scaled Agile Framework to lead Lean-Agile transformation. It leads to the SAFe Agilist (SA) certification.

Implementing SAFe is a four-day course for change agents responsible for launching and coaching Agile Release Trains, facilitating organisational change, and driving SAFe adoption. It leads to the SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) certification.
