SAFe DevOps with SAFe DevOps Practitioner (SDP) certification

The SAFe DevOps Practitioner (SDP) certification is a globally recognised credential that validates an individual’s ability to lead a DevOps transformation within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). It demonstrates expertise in fostering a DevOps mindset culture and a culture of shared responsibility to optimise value flow across a Continuous Delivery Pipeline. This certification equips professionals with the knowledge and skills to align technical practices such as continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous testing with business objectives.

This course is suitable for all members of an Agile Release Train. Ideally, each team will take the course together as a team.

By the end of the SAFe DevOps training, participants will be able to:

• Understand the principles of DevOps, its benefits, continuous security, and how SAFe's CALMR approach fosters collaboration and quality.
• Analyse and map Development Value Streams to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and prioritise solution ideas by creating hypotheses, researching customer needs, and planning the architectural and backlog features for delivery.
• Implement practices for continuous development, end-to-end testing, and staging solutions to ensure quality and readiness for deployment.
• Optimise deployment processes, verify solutions, monitor system health, and respond effectively to operational issues.
• Align releases with customer needs, measure business value, and use feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Prioritise and plan DevOps improvements by applying WSJF to create an actionable and impactful DevOps backlog.

Yes, the registration fee includes one attempt at the SAFe DevOps Practitioner certification exam. Participants will receive instructions on accessing the exam via SAFe Studio after completing the course. Retakes are subject to an additional fee.
