There are no mandatory prerequisites for the SAFe APM certification. However, it is recommended that attendees are familiar with Lean-Agile principles and practices and have previously attended at least one SAFe course. A background in product or solution management is highly recommended.

It provides practical tools for managing backlogs, defining user stories, and working collaboratively with agile teams to deliver incremental value. This course is ideal for those who are new to SAFe or transitioning into these roles.

While both courses address product development in SAFe, the APM course emphasises strategic leadership and innovation, whereas the POPM course is geared towards tactical execution and team collaboration.

Yes, the exam fee for your first attempt is included in the course registration fee. 

The instructor provides access to the exam at the end of the class.

You will have 30 days to take the exam online via SAFe Studio at a time and place of your choosing. You do not need to schedule the exam in advance.
