AI-Native Value Architect with AI-Native Value Architect certification

Most organisations can run AI pilots. The gap is turning that activity into solutions that ship, get adopted, and create measurable value. Scaled Agile has given the role that closes this gap a name: the AI Value Architect.

AI-Native Value Architect is a practical two-day course, plus two hours of on-demand learning, for professionals expected to unlock AI value across teams and stakeholders. It builds the capability to find and frame the value, align the people who matter, and lead initiatives through discovery, design, and delivery in a fast-changing landscape.

This is not a technical build course. It is about leading the work that makes AI outcomes possible: the conversations, decisions, trade-offs, and governance that determine whether AI initiatives move forward or stall.

You'll work in small teams through a hands-on solution development simulation, redesigning a stalled AI initiative, aligning stakeholders, and building a roadmap to production. No prior AI leadership experience required.

In this course, you will:

  • guide a realistic AI initiative from early signals through to delivery decisions
  • unlock value from the AI tools and workflows your organisation already has
  • practise aligning stakeholders across business, delivery, risk, and governance
  • shape a viable AI solution approach, including data, operations, and adoption considerations
  • build the case for investment, including time-to-value and adoption risk
  • use AI as a working tool throughout: generating questions, testing options, and supporting facilitation

Delivered in Australia and New Zealand by Pretty Agile, Charter Partner for Scaled Agile AI-Native training.

What Our Clients Say

Testimonial photo

What stood out for me was the focus on how AI can actually fit into real business workflows. It helped me see how the tools I’ve been experimenting with could be used more systematically — and it built a lot of confidence that I’m on the right track. That it's not about leaving it to IT but about using it in our day to day and to provide improved services. What I appreciated most was the balance between curiosity and responsibility — using AI well, not just using it. Thanks so much Em Campbell-Pretty and Adrienne Wilson.

What stood out wasn’t just the technology, it was how deeply AI thinking connects to business transformation and people-centered change. I’ve already started applying these ideas at the University of Auckland. It was great to be... learning together with such an inspiring group made the experience even richer. Inspiring to see AI framed not as hype, but as a discipline that helps us design smarter, more human systems.

Big thanks to Em Campbell-Pretty and Adrienne Wilson for making this journey genuinely inspiring. Excited to keep exploring how to “think AI-first” - not just use the tools, but redesign how we do the work.

Why this course exists

AI isn't a side experiment anymore. Most organisations already have ideas, pilots, and tools in motion. What's missing is the capability to turn that activity into outcomes, safely and repeatably. AI initiatives often stall, not because the technology fails, but because the work around it isn't done well:

  • the value isn't clear enough to make good choices
  • stakeholders aren't aligned on value, risk, or intent
  • accountabilities across business, product, and delivery are fuzzy
  • teams don't have a practical way to navigate uncertainty as capabilities and constraints shift

AI-Native Value Architect exists to close that gap: the work between ambition and value.

Who Should Attend

AI-Native Value Architect is for the people expected to make AI work in their organisation, not by building models, but by leading the work that turns AI activity into outcomes.

This course is suited to you if:

  • you're a consultant, coach, or transformation lead guiding AI implementations from concept to production
  • you sit between business and delivery and are asked to align priorities, people, and decisions around AI initiatives
  • you're a product, programme, or delivery leader accountable for AI outcomes
  • you're a Scrum Master, Team Coach, or SPC considering where your role goes next: in AI-Native SAFe, the AI Value Architect is the natural evolution of these roles
  • you're a senior leader sponsoring AI initiatives who needs confidence the investment will land

Participants commonly include consultants, agile coaches, transformation leads, product and delivery leaders, solutions architects, programme managers, and senior technologists from organisations across Australia and internationally.

AI-Native Foundations is a prerequisite for this course. Book Foundations here.

What You'll Be Able to Do

After completing AI-Native Value Architect, you'll be able to:

  • coach teams and individuals through AI adoption
  • unlock measurable value from the AI workflows and tools your organisation already has
  • make clearer decisions about where to invest, pause, or stop AI work
  • align stakeholders across business, delivery, risk, and governance
  • run discovery that focuses teams on the right AI problem before solutioning begins
  • design AI initiatives that are viable, fundable, and adoptable
  • guide delivery through uncertainty as AI capability, costs, and constraints shift
  • measure outcomes and carry learning forward into the next initiative

Executives gain confidence in AI-related decisions. Practitioners gain the capability to lead AI work end to end.

What You'll Actually Work On

Across the course, you'll practise the role of an AI-Native Value Architect by guiding an AI initiative from early signals through to delivery decisions.

You'll work through a realistic simulation reflecting the kinds of AI initiatives organisations are dealing with right now: the ones stuck between proof of concept and production. You'll diagnose the initiative, redesign the solution approach, align stakeholders, and build a roadmap to production.

You'll work on:

  • clarifying the real problem an AI initiative is trying to solve, before solutioning begins
  • aligning stakeholders on value, risk, and intent
  • framing discovery so teams focus on what actually matters
  • shaping a viable AI solution approach, including data, operations, and risk considerations
  • guiding delivery decisions as constraints and AI capability shift
  • defining what success looks like and how learning is carried forward

Throughout the course, you'll use AI to support your thinking and facilitation, helping generate better questions, test options, and synthesise insights, while keeping human judgement and accountability front and centre.

You won't be building models or learning tools.

You'll be practising how to lead the work that turns AI activity into outcomes.

Why train with Pretty Agile?

Pretty Agile is the AI-Native Charter Partner for Australia and New Zealand, selected by Scaled Agile from over 80 applicants globally.

What Pretty Agile brings to the delivery:

  • trainers who work with AI in live consulting and enterprise delivery contexts, not trainers reading slides
  • facilitation grounded in the real organisational constraints Australian and New Zealand enterprises face, including governance, risk, and procurement realities

What You'll Learn in AI-Native Value Architect

Across two days plus two hours of on-demand learning, you'll move from value discovery and alignment through to solution design and delivery.

Day 1: Maximising AI value

  • why AI initiatives stall and how to spot the common failure patterns early
  • how to unlock value from existing AI tools and investments before building anything new
  • how to facilitate alignment across diverse stakeholders
creating psychological safety, handling resistance, and keeping momentum in tough conversations

Day 2: AI solution development in practice

  • a hands-on simulation taking an AI initiative through discovery, design, and delivery decisions
  • how to translate business needs into a realistic AI solution approach
  • how to plan data strategy, production operations, and risk as design inputs, not afterthoughts
  • how to use fast learning cycles to pivot or persevere based on evidence

On-demand modules (2 hours, SAFe Studio)

  • core course content completed in your own time; required before you can take the certification exam

An AI Value Architect turns an organisation's AI activity into measurable value: coaching AI adoption, unlocking value from the AI workflows and tools already in place, bridging business and technology, and facilitating AI solution development. They lead the decisions, trade-offs, and governance that determine whether AI work progresses or stalls, including the concerns enterprises consistently get stuck on: data, ethics, risk, and legal. The Certified AI-Native Value Architect credential, issued by Scaled Agile, validates this capability.

On 25 August 2026, Scaled Agile is re-releasing AI-Native Change Agent as AI-Native Value Architect: a two-day course focused on the person who connects AI initiatives to business value. All Pretty Agile classes from September 2026 run as AI-Native Value Architect and certify against the new credential. If you're unsure which date suits you, contact us, and we'll help you plan it.

No, the course does not require SAFe. It applies to any organisation working to get value from AI, whatever way of working you use. The course includes a short section mapping the AI Value Architect role into SAFe for organisations that use it, but the skills, scenarios, and certification stand on their own.

Foundations is a prerequisite because Value Architect teaches you to lead others through a methodology they need to have experienced themselves. The people you will be facilitating — colleagues, stakeholders, team leads — need the shared language, mental models, and workflow redesign skills that Foundations builds. Without it, you are facilitating people who don't yet have the vocabulary or the practice to move with you.

The two courses are designed as a system. Foundations builds broad AI capability across a team or organisation. Value Architect develops the small group of people who turn that capability into a functioning AI adoption network — the cross-functional connectors who keep adoption moving after the training ends.

If you come from a change or transformation background, Foundations gives you something specific: direct experience of the AI-Native methodology from the participant's perspective. That matters because your job in Value Architect is to lead others through exactly that experience. Knowing the content is not the same as having worked through it yourself.

Yes. You’ll need to complete AI-Native Foundations before the course starts. If you’re unsure which Foundations date to choose, we’ll help you line it up.

The certification exam is taken online via SAFe Studio after the course and unlocks once you complete the two on-demand modules. Exam access is included with course registration and provided after attendance is confirmed.

Scaled Agile will publish the full exam details with the course release on 25 August 2026; we'll update this page as soon as they're confirmed.

After completing the course and passing the assessment, you’ll earn the Certified AI-Native Value Architect credential from Scaled Agile, issued via Credly.

This certification demonstrates your ability to:

  • coach AI adoption and unlock value from AI workflows and tools
  • align people, decisions, and governance around AI outcomes
  • navigate uncertainty and change as AI capability evolves
  • lead AI-enabled work in a practical, business-first context

To get the most out of AI-Native Value Architect, you'll need:

  • a laptop with reliable internet access
  • access to a generative AI tool such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or Gemini
  • willingness to participate actively in facilitated discussions and scenario work
  • openness to exploring real organisational constraints, trade-offs, and decisions

No technical background is required. This course focuses on facilitation, judgment, and leadership, not building or coding.

Your AI-Native Value Architect experience includes:

  • two days of live, in-person training with a certified AI-Native Trainer & SAFe Fellow
  • two hours of on-demand learning via SAFe Studio (required for certification)
  • access to official course materials through SAFe Studio, including templates and resources
