Most SAFe transformations reach a point where the team feels like things are improving — but can't prove it. There's no external reference point, no objective baseline, and no clear answer to the question every transformation sponsor eventually asks: where should we focus next?
The AI-Empowered SAFe Assessments Workshop gives you that answer. It provides the overview, purpose and resources to run SAFe's formal assessments effectively — then uses AI to do what used to require manual expert interpretation: analyse the results and generate recommendations specific to your organisation.
Business agility is the ability to compete and thrive by responding quickly to market changes and emerging opportunities with innovative, digitally enabled solutions. Achieving it takes constant reflection, a practice SAFe calls "Measure and Grow": how organisations evaluate their progress toward business agility and decide their next improvement steps. A key part of that is using SAFe assessments to measure proficiency in Lean-Agile practices.
Depending on your context, participants engage with either the Business Agility assessment or one of the five SAFe Discipline assessments. The workshop makes sure assessments are run well, gives teams the time and space to analyse the data, and shows how to use the Comparative Agility platform and its integrated SAFe CoPilot AI to generate tailored recommendations. You can also compare your results against industry benchmark data — so you know not just how you're doing, but how you're doing compared to organisations like yours.
The workshop runs for approximately half a day per team or group, on-site or virtually.

The five SAFe Discipline assessments
Each assessment measures proficiency in the practices of one of the five disciplines of the Lean-Agile organisation. In addition to these five, the Business Agility assessment provides an organisation-wide view across all disciplines.

Who's in the room depends on which assessment you're running — the discipline being assessed determines the right participants:
- LACE members, transformation leaders and change agents for setting baselines and running the Business Agility assessment
- Agile teams and team members where the discipline is team-level (for example a Team and Technical Agility assessment)
- ART leaders and participants for ART-level disciplines
- Portfolio and leadership stakeholders where the discipline sits at the portfolio level
As a rule, match the attendees to the level the assessment measures.
