Implementing SAFe® 4.5 with SPC4 certifcation
This is a 4-day course originally intended for Agile coaches and consultants assisting clients with SAFe implementations. Since it was introduced, the audience has evolved to include representatives from organisations adopting SAFe, in particular Release Train Engineers. Those who attend and pass the exam are certified as “SPC”. Those who seek this certification tend to be a mix of consultants, members of “Agile Centres of Excellence” and key leaders in SAFe implementations. Primary motivations for organisations to certify people to this level include achieving self-sufficiency for training and reducing reliance on external SAFe consultants for implementation.
SAFe® 4.5 Release Train Engineer with RTE certification
In this advanced three-day workshop, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Release Train Engineer (RTE) in the SAFe enterprise. Through experiential learning, you will learn how to facilitate and enable end-to-end value delivery through Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and value streams. You will also learn how to build a high-performing ART by becoming a servant leader and coach, and how to plan and execute a Program Increment (PI) planning event, the primarily enabler of alignment throughout all levels of a SAFe organization. Scaled Agile’s SAFe Release Train Engineer exam maintains rigorous quality standards ensuring that those who have earned the certification are well prepared to effectively fulfill their role in a SAFe enterprise. Leading SAFe® 4.5 with SA Certification
This two-day course teaches the Lean-Agile principles and practices of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe<®). You’ll learn how to execute and release value through Agile Release Trains, how to build an Agile Portfolio, and how to lead a Lean-Agile transformation at enterprise scale. You will gain an understanding of the Lean-Agile mindset and how to apply the principles and practices of SAFe to subport Agile teams, programs, program portfolio management, and to coordinate large Value Streams. Attending the class prepares you to take the exam and become a certified SAFe® Agilist (SA).
SAFe® 4.5 for Teams with SP Certification
This two-day course teaches teams who are in a scaled agile environment how to work in an Agile environment using Scrum, Kanban, and XP. The teams will learn how to become Agile Teams, build their backlog, and plan and execute iterations. Agile teams learn about Agile Release Trains and how their role in it, planning, executing, and improving with other teams. This class prepares teams to run a Program Increment (PI), including all meetings at the Team and Program level with a specific focus on the upcoming PI planning. Attending the class prepares participants to take the exam and become a certified SAFe® Practitioner (SP).
SAFe® 4.5 Scrum Master with SSM Certification
SAFe Scrum MasterIn this two-day course, you’ll gain an understanding of the role of Scrum Master in a SAFe enterprise. Unlike traditional Scrum Master training that focuses on the fundamentals of team-level Scrum, the SAFe 4.0 Scrum Master course explores the role of Scrum in the context of the entire enterprise, and prepares you to successfully plan and execute the Program Increment (PI), the primary enabler of alignment throughout all levels of a SAFe organization. This includes learning the key components of scaled Agile development, how Scrum is facilitated throughout the enterprise, and how to execute iteration planning. You’ll also discover how to build high performing Agile teams by becoming a servant leader and coach, and how to coach those teams to deliver the maximum business value that is achievable through SAFe. The SSM certification signifies that you are prepared to perform the role of Scrum Master in a SAFe environment, increasing your value to teams and organizations that are implementing SAFe.
SAFe® 4.5 Advanced Scrum Master Course with SASM Certification
This two-day course prepares existing Scrum Masters to take a leadership role in facilitating Agile team, program, and enterprise success in a SAFe® implementation. The course covers facilitation of cross-team interactions in subport of program execution and relentless improvement. It enhances the Scrum paradigm with an introduction to scalable engineering and DevOps practices; the application of Kanban to facilitate the flow of value; and subporting interactions with architects, product management, and other critical stakeholders in the larger program and enterprise contexts. The course offers actionable tools for building high-performing teams and explores practical ways of addressing Agile and Scrum anti-patterns in the enterprise. Attending the class prepares you to take the exam and become a certified SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master (SASM). Attendees of the SAFe® ASM course are required to have one of the following certificates: Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or SAFe Practitioner (SP).
SAFe® 4.5 Product Owner/Product Manager with POPM Certification
In this two-day course, you will learn how the roles of Product Manager, Product Owner, Solution Manager, and Epic Owner drive the delivery of value in the SAFe enterprise. You’ll get an overview of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®), the Lean-Agile mindset, and an understanding of how the Product Manager and Product Owner roles operate in the enterprise to drive the delivery of value. Finally, you will get an in-depth understanding of the specific activities, tools, and mechanics used to effectively deliver value to the enterprise. Attending the class prepares you to take the exam and become a certified SAFe® PM/PO (PMPO). Leading SAFe® 4.5 is a recommended prerequisite for students planning to attend this course.
This two-day course provides a comprehensive overview for understanding the DevOps competencies needed to accelerate time-to-market by improving the flow of value through the Continuous Delivery Pipeline. Attendees will map the current value stream through their delivery pipeline from idea to cash, and identify practices that will eliminate bottlenecks to flow.
The course will build an understanding of the complete flow of value from Continuous Exploration to Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Release on Demand. Attendees will explore SAFe’s CALMR (Culture, Automation, Lean, Measure, Recover) approach to DevOps, which helps create a culture of shared responsibility for the full spectrum of Solution delivery. It helps align people, processes, and technology throughout the organization to achieve faster time-to-market.
Attendees will leave with the tools they need to execute an implementation plan for improving their delivery pipeline, and the knowledge they need to support the plan. The course also prepares students for the optional SAFe® 4 DevOps Practitioner (SDP) certification exam.
The getKanban Board Game is a physical game designed to teach the concepts and mechanics of Kanban for software development in a class or workshop setting. It’s hands-on, engaging, and fun! The game is played in teams of four to six people, one game per team. Each team has a playing board representing a Kanban task board, and a collection of story cards representing work to be done. Teams compete to maximise profit by optimizing the flow of work. Simulated events occur throughout the game to challenge the teams and require them to make various system design, prioritisation, and resource allocation decisions.
